Florida is the low tax state. That’s a big reason why businesses are expanding here and people are coming here.

But Florida is also the high electric bills state and the high housing costs state and the high property insurance state, if you can even get it.

​

As a state we can do more and we can do better to push back on the high costs of electricity, housing and property insurance. We can do more to train our workforce with higher skills to earn higher wages.

​

I want Florida to be more affordable for the retiree who wants to move here, for the family who wants to grow here and for the student who wants to stay and work here.

​

We are the Free State of Florida. I support and celebrate that. Now we must become the Affordable State of Florida, as well.
